Welcome to Sherwood Piano Studio!

Sherwood Piano Studio is a small boutique-like studio located since March 2020 on Hobson Heights Rd, Lucas Heights (previously based on Sartors Avenue in Browns Bay). Surrounded by bush and on a quiet cul-de-sac street, the studio offers an oasis of peaceful tranquillity, yet is just a few minutes past Albany Village, off the Dairy Flat Highway.

The studio is owned and operated by Dr Dianne James. Dianne is a very experienced teacher of piano & theory, who specialises in the teaching of primary and secondary-aged students. Pre-schoolers and adults are also welcome to learn the piano at Sherwood Piano Studio.

Dianne does all the teaching at Sherwood Piano Studio and prides herself on the results she achieves not only with gifted students, but also with those less naturally talented but inclined to hard work.

Dianne tailors her lessons to fit each student’s needs and learning style. She aims to make her lessons fun but also encourages each student to work hard believing that in the end much of the joy of learning the piano derives from daily effort and long-term perseverance.
